PHOENIX — A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle in north Phoenix Sunday night, according to authorities.
The Phoenix Police Department said the incident happened near 3rd Street and Bell Road.

Officers arrived and found the woman with critical injuries, police said.
Fire crews arrived and tried to help the woman but she did not survive, police said.
According to police, the man driving the vehicle stayed on at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
The roadway in the area of the crash is expected to be closed throughout the night.
