PHOENIX — A woman has died after she was struck by a vehicle near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road Sunday night, Phoenix police said.
Marche Mercado, 35, was reportedly crossing 51st Avenue mid-block when she was struck by a vehicle driving south, police said.
First responders took Mercado to the hospital where she later died.
The driver involved in the crash remained on scene. Investigators are working to learn more about the crash.
