PHOENIX - The U.S. Army is holding flight in the Phoenix area through Friday, and it hasn't gone unnoticed by some who've reached out to 12 News.

In a news release, the Army advised we could "expect periods of increased air traffic, including helicopters, low-flying aircraft, and increased aircraft noise during hours of darkness."

It's part of routine training for Army personnel, and the Army doesn't publish the specifics on when and where ahead of time. Local law enforcement, however, is kept in the loop.

The Army statement reads: "The Army community is extremely sensitive to the impact such exercises have on local citizens and intends to train safely and courteously. Every measure to reduce the amount of noise associated with the exercise will be taken."
