PHOENIX — A crash near the Phoenix-Avondale border left a pedestrian in the hospital and kicked off a search for the driver early Friday morning.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the area of 117th Avenue and Indian School Road around 5 a.m. for reports of a hit-and-run crash.
When they arrived, they found an adult man, who had not been named, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, officials said.
The driver involved in the crash drove away from the scene before deputies arrived, MCSO stated. Traffic detectives are investigating the crash.
At this time, officials have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
