PHOENIX — An 8-inch water main break caused a sinkhole and some traffic issues in north Phoenix on Monday.
The southbound curb lane of 35th Avenue just south of Bell Road is closed and all of Aire Libre Avenue is closed due to the break, officials said. The closures are expected for the next 24-48 hours while crews complete repairs and do a road safety assessment.
No residential customers are affected by the water main break, officials said.
