WATCH: Helmet cam footage shows Phoenix firefighters battling mobile home fire

The video shows a firefighter, surrounded by flames, using a chainsaw to cut through the mobile home's exterior.

PHOENIX - The helmet cam of a Phoenix Fire captain captured a heated moment as crews battled a mobile home fire Sunday.

The video shows a firefighter, surrounded by flames, using a chainsaw to cut through the mobile home's exterior.

According to Phoenix FD, when crews arrived at the scene near Van Buren Street and 64th Drive Sunday smoke and flames were coming from the doors and windows of the vacant single-wide mobile home.

Phoenix fire said crews did not hook a hose into a fire hydrant, instead electing to use water from the truck because of the location of the home.

Once more crews arrived on scene, Phoenix fire said, a quarter of a mile of hose was across run Van Buren to a fire hydrant. The street was closed as crews were able to prevent the fire from extending to a home south of the engulfed building.

There were no injuries, Phoenix fire said.
