PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Two people escaped injury after a small vintage airplane crashed Saturday at Ernest A. Love Field.

Fire officials say they found the single-engine 1939 Luscombe Model 8a with damage to its right wing and main landing gear.

According to the fire department, neither the pilot nor the passenger was hurt.

Officials say the pilot, who is based in Chino Valley, had just bought the aircraft in Taos, New Mexico.

The plane was coming from a fuel stop in Gallup, New Mexico.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Authorities say the pilot has logged more than 11,000 hours of flight experience.
