PHOENIX — Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Flagstaff this week.
Harris will visit the University of Northern Arizona on Oct. 17.
The vice president’s visit is part of the “Fight for Our Freedoms College Tour” that began in mid-September.
Arizona is among seven states included on the tour that the White House said is meant to mobilize young people in the ongoing fight for fundamental freedoms and rights.
“The Vice President will highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration has delivered for young people, outline the work ahead to protect fundamental freedoms, and hear directly from students who are organizing on the frontlines of these fights,” the White House said in a news release. “She will also urge attendees to register to vote, use their voice, and stay engaged.”
Harris has already visited Hampton University, North Carolina A&T, Reading Area Community College, Morehouse College, University of Wisconsin-Madison and College of Southern Nevada as part of her month-long tour.
