Organizers of the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade are looking for nominations for the Grand Marshals.

Those wishing to honor veterans can submit nominations by Sunday at GrandMarshalAZ.com. There will be a Grand Marshal representing each conflict:

World War II − 1941 to 1945
The Korean War − 1950 to 1953
The Vietnam War − 1964 to 1975
Cold War − 1945 to 1991
Desert Storm − 1990 to 1991
Operation Enduring Freedom − 2001 to present
Operation Iraqi Freedom − 2003 to 2011

The winners from the nominations will ride in the parade, be featured on KTAR, and attend other parade events.

The parade will be held Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in Central Phoenix. The parade starts on Central and Montebello avenues.

"The parade honors our veterans and serves as an annual reminder to educate Americans about the service and sacrifices our veterans have made to protect our freedoms," said Bill Montgomery, Maricopa County Attorney and Special Adviser to Honoring Arizona's Veterans in a news release.

The parade's theme is "No Longer Forgotten, Honoring our Korean War Veterans."
