PHOENIX - A very special Valley family is on their way to Houston for a Make-A-Wish trip of a lifetime on Southwest Airlines.
Thanks to Make-A-Wish, the Stewart family is off on an all-expenses-paid trip. Jadin Stewart's love of sea turtles is the reason they're all heading to The Lone Star State.
Jadin's doctor recommended her as a Make-A-Wish candidate. She's lived with cystic fibrosis her entire life, and has to endure medical treatments every day.
Cystic fibrosis is a disease that causes lung infections and makes it difficult to breathe, according to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. There currently is no cure.
Jadin's Make-A-Wish trip is jam-packed with trips to aquariums in Houston and a visit to NASA. She will have the chance to become a zookeeper for the day, helping to care for sea turtles. Before they fly home on Easter Sunday, they'll be treated to a delicious brunch.
