PHOENIX — The spooky season is behind us and we're all left with fun memories and massive piles of candy. Maybe even too massive!
So if you're looking for a way to use up all that leftover Halloween candy (that isn't just chowing down) we have a unique option: Candy buybacks.
Some local orthodontics and dental offices are hosting festivals and open house events for kids looking to earn a little cash. At these events, your kiddo can get paid by the pound of candy that they bring in. Be aware that most of these have a weight limit for how much candy you can bring.
East Valley Moms provided a list of some of these candy buyback parties in Chandler, Mesa and Gilbert:
Chandler
- 5970 S. Cooper Road Suite 1
- Nov. 1 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- $1 per pound, plus petting zoo, games and free food
- 2963 W. Elliot Rd, Ste 1
- Nov. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Gilbert
- 1355 S Higley Rd, Ste 105
- Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- $1 per pound, $5 max per child
- All candy goes to troops through Packages From Home
Mesa
- 6626 E Baseline Rd #101
- Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Event features local food trucks with free vouchers for the first 150 guests
- $2 per pound, up to five pounds
