MESA, Ariz. — An urgent care center in Mesa was evacuated after a patient may have used fentanyl in the bathroom, according to officials with the Mesa Fire Department.
A hazmat team was called to Honor Health Urgent Care, near University Drive and Extension Road, Saturday morning. Officials said several people in the building complained of feeling unwell but all were evaluated and refused transportation to a hospital.

Fentanyl is an extremely powerful drug and just two milligrams can be lethal depending on a person’s body size, tolerance and past usage, according to the DEA.
No other details were given and it is unclear if anyone was arrested. The scene has been turned over to Mesa police.
