United Food Bank hoping to fill historic fire truck with enough food to feed Arizona kids

Arizona Celebration of Freedom is July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheatre campus.

Giving back can be as easy as making a small food donation.

Providing more than 61,000 meals for children, families and seniors daily, United Food Bank relies on the generous support of individuals, corporations and community groups.

That's why YOU can join 12 News and United Food Bank feed Arizona children with the "summer of a Million Meals." The campaign with the United Food bank is aimed at providing food people in need in the Valley.

You can help by donating during the difficult summertime period online at azmillionmeals.org.

The United Food Bank is holding another drive Wednesday.

Arizona Celebration of Freedom is July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheatre campus.

The City of Mesa is asking people to bring nonperishable donations to help stuff a 1941 classic Fire Engine.

Everyone who donates at least three items to the drive will be interested into a raffle to win prizes throughout the celebration.
