GILBERT, Ariz. — A firefighter was injured after an ammunition round exploded during a house fire, the Gilbert Fire Department said. The homeowner also suffered burn injuries.
Firefighters were responding to a house fire in Gilbert near the intersection of West Aspen Avenue and North Birch Street when the round exploded, the department said.
The firefighter was transported to a hospital in stable condition, the department said. The homeowner was transferred with non-life-threatening injuries.
