Traffic alert: Police urge drivers to avoid Scottsdale Road following crash on Dynamite diverting traffic

Scottsdale police urged drivers to consider an alternate route north and southbound.

Crash at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Boulevard diverted traffic

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Drivers on East Dynamite Boulevard were diverted onto Scottsdale Road Monday following a crash. 

The northwest corner of the intersection was blocked due to a crash forcing traffic onto Scottsdale Road, according to Scottsdale police. 

Four of the eight people involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals. Three were taken to a trauma center and the fourth was taken to the closest hospital. 

The northbound Scottsdale Road left turn and the southbound Scottsdale Road right turn were closed. 

Eastbound Dynamite was also closed at Scottsdale Road.

Police urged drivers to consider finding another route and avoiding the area.
