This week, thousands of pop culture fans and costumed heroes will descend on downtown Phoenix for this year's Phoenix Comicon.
There will be plenty of things to see, such as cosplayers, art exhibits and interesting panels from comic book creators. And that's not all.
Fans will also have the opportunity to see some of their favorite celebrities from the big and small screen as well. Many of these celebrities are holding autograph sessions and photo opportunities, and the prices for each session vary. Those interested can buy tickets online.
If you're heading over to the Comicon this week, here are some of the stars you can see at this year's event.
Alex Kingston
Where you've seen her: Most recently known for playing the time traveler, River Song, on “Doctor Who,” Kingston has also starred on “ER,” and even had a recurring role on the CW’s “Arrow.”
Mark Pellegrino
Where you've seen him: His latest appearance on television was a recurring role on “Quantico.” He's also played Lucifer on the WB’s “Supernatural” and other roles on popular shows “Dexter” and “Lost.”
David Ramsey
Where you've seen him: Fans now know Ramsey as John Diggle on the hit show “Arrow” and “The Flash.” He also has appeared in two seasons of “Dexter” and a recurring role on "Blue Bloods."
Caity Lotz
Where you've seen her: Her current role as Sara Lance, aka the White Canary, on “Arrow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is quickly becoming a fan favorite. She can also be seen on other hit shows including "Mad Men" and "Death Valley."
Sean Astin
Where you've seen him: Probably most notably known from famous films, “The Goonies” and “Rudy,” Astin also played the long-suffering Samwise Gamgee in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
Billie Piper
Where you've seen her: Piper currently stars in Showtime’s television hit, “Penny Dreadful” as Brona Croft, a character brought back from the dead as Lily Frankenstein. Her other notable role is Rose Tyler, a companion to the Doctor, during the “Doctor Who” series on the BBC in 2005.
