Arrowhead Elementary teacher Cathryn Gorospe, 44, was last seen bailing 27-year-old Charlie Malzahn out of a Flagstaff jail Friday, Oct. 6. More than a week later, police ruled Gorospe's case a homicide.
In the 11 days it took to reach the homicide ruling, Malzahn traveled through Arizona, committed crimes, was arrested -- again -- and eventually led investigators to a body in Mayer, Arizona, police said.
A positive identification of the remains is still pending through DNA testing. But police said Tuesday, an autopsy determined the manner of death to be a homicide, and they had good reason to believe it was Gorospe.
As updates on the case were released, some on the same day, it became difficult to keep track of the details.
A timeline breaks down the past 11 days of Gorospe's case.
