Nearly 750 people still without power after Wednesday's storms as new outages hit Thursday

744 APS and SRP customers were still without power Thursday night due to Wednesday night's storms.

PHOENIX — Thousands of APS customers woke up without power Thursday morning after monsoon storms damaged infrastructure across the Valley. Many of them are still without power as of Friday.

By 5:30 a.m., 744 people were still without power from Wednesday night's storms, according to the APS Outage Map

Roughly 100 SRP customers were still affected at that time.

New storms Thursday night caused more outages affecting 2,480 APS and SRP customers. Restoration times show anytime between 10:45 p.m. to 3:45 a.m.

"Our crews are working to restore the outage caused by downed power poles," the company said online.

People affected by power outages in the Phoenix area can be reimbursed for the purchase of up to 40 pounds of bagged ice if power is out for longer than 10 hours.
