APS restores power to thousands of customers following afternoon outage

Several outages left customers in the dark Tuesday afternoon as temperatures climbed.

PHOENIX — Thousands of Arizona Public Service customers lost power Tuesday afternoon as Phoenix remained under an Excessive Heat Warning. 

According to APS, power was restored to all impacted customers as of 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.

One outage impacted 926 customers in the area of Voltair Drive to Lupine Avenue and 56th Avenue to 44th Drive. 

A second courage was impacting 1,820 customers in the area of Cactus Road to Dalphin Road and 47th Avenue to 39th Avenue. 

A third outage was impacting 1,601 customers in the area of Aster Drive to Cholla Stree and 43rd Avenue to 29th Avenue.
