TEMPE, Ariz. - He transformed his home into a Ninja Warrior course and listened to his wife’s advice. Now Tempe dad Brian Rambo is about to take his mad physical fitness skills in front of a national TV audience.
Only two athletes have ever finished an entire national finals course in 10 seasons of the show. Rambo hopes to be the third. If he’s successful, he could take home $1 million.
Rambo got his start with parkour and gymnastics when he traded a friend a hand-built chicken coop for a small indoor rock climbing wall.
“It’s a big piece of the house that everyone who comes over plays on,” Rambo said.
His wife challenged him to train to be a Ninja Warrior, and so he did.
“I ended up applying for the TV show because my wife told me I had to do it,” he said.
Out of more than 7,000 submissions to run the course, he was one of fewer than 100 to go to the Los Angeles City Qualifiers.
Good luck, Brian Rambo!
