Suspect allegedly shot through window, injuring man inside north Phoenix home

Police say the man who was shot was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot a man through the window of a home in north Phoenix. The city's police department said the suspect left the area before they arrived at the scene.

Phoenix police officers responded to a home near Union Hills Drive and 51st Avenue around 11 p.m. on Monday for a "shooting incident."

When officers got to the house, they found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives learned the man was in the house when an unknown suspect allegedly shot through a window, hitting the man. The suspect left the area before police got there.

Any information that can help detectives identify this suspect is welcomed by calling into Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, police said.
