PHOENIX — The south runway at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport was temporarily closed after a corporate jet went off the runway Tuesday afternoon, but has since reopened.
Five people were on board the twin-engine IAI Astra SPX; it ran off the end of the runway while taking off around 2:30 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
There are no injuries reported and flights are still operating on the north and center runways, officials said.
The aircraft was seen on Sky12 with two fire trucks nearby and several people inspecting the plane.
