PHOENIX - Both the B and C gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport's Terminal 4 were evacuated Monday morning after reports of a suspicious package.
The gates were closed just after 9 a.m. while police checked out the unattended item left at the C checkpoint.
The gates were reopened around 11 a.m. after the package was checked out and, according to a spokesperson for Sky Harbor, "normal operations" at Terminal 4 had resumed.
A spokesperson for the airport later said it was checked "as a precaution."
One of the three Southwest Airlines concourses were also closed and the PHX Sky Train was stopped until the package was cleared.
