Pedestrian has 'serious injuries' after being hit by vehicle in Peoria

The intersection of Northern and 91 avenues has reopened following the crash.

PEORIA, Ariz. — A Peoria roadway has reopened after a vehicle hit a person Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

The Peoria Police Department said the closure is at the intersection of Northern and 91st avenues. The person hit by the vehicle has serious injuries, police said.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene and is cooperating with police.

It is not known if speed or impairment were factors in the crash, police said.
