GLENDALE, Ariz. — A person sustained fatal injuries Monday morning after they were shot in a "road rage" incident reported in Glendale, police said.
Shortly before 8 a.m., two motorists got into an alleged road rage incident that resulted in one of the drivers getting out of their car and confronting the other driver near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Camelback Road.

During the confrontation, one of the drivers pulled out a firearm and fired a single shot at the other driver.
The wounded individual later died and has been identified as 29-year-old Ramses Saldano Lopez.
Police said the 23-year-old driver who allegedly fired the gun remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No arrests have been made.
The other driver claims he believed his life was in danger when he fired the gun, police said.
Valley attorney Benjamin Taylor tells 12News self-defense laws in Arizona are clear. Someone must be threatened with a weapon in order to fire one of their own at the person threatening them.
“You as a person have to prove that your self defense is justified, meaning you just can't pull out a weapon and shoot somebody just from a verbal altercation. You have to show that you were in harm, that maybe your life was threatened, and that could be by a gun or by a bat or by some sort of weapon," Taylor said.
It's unclear if Saldano-Lopez had a gun or weapon of his own. The situation remains under investigation.
Glendale Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact them and report what they may have seen.
