Trump's campaign previously announced that the candidate was hosting a rally at Glendale's Desert Diamond arena the same afternoon as Kennedy's address.
Sources have told NBC News that Kennedy is reportedly thinking of ending his campaign and endorsing Trump.
Kennedy, the nephew of President John F. Kennedy, has been fighting challenges in several states to his nominating petitions. His campaign has said that they had collected enough signatures for ballot access in all 50 states.
