Residents rescued after tree falls into Scottsdale apartment complex

16 other residents are being evacuated.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Occupants of one Scottsdale apartment complex were trapped after a tree fell onto the building during monsoon storms on Tuesday. 

All of the trapped residents were freed and fire department officials evacuated 16 other apartments at the complex near Hayden Road and East Via de Ventura to make sure the building is safe to occupy. 

No injuries were reported.
