PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department said investigators believe a woman was hit by a vehicle after her body was found near 29th Avenue and Osborn Road early Monday.
Police have identified the woman as 23-year-old Summer Olheiser.
Police said the injuries suffered by Olheiser were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
Officers were dispatched at 6 a.m. Monday to reports of an "unknown trouble" before they found an unresponsive woman lying in the roadway. She had sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
Anyone with information about Olheiser's death is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
