PHOENIX — A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a semi-truck in west Phoenix Wednesday morning, a spokesman with city police said.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. near 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road, according to early reports. When officers arrived, they found the man seriously injured in the roadway.
Investigators believe he was hit by a passing semi-truck. The driver of the truck stayed on scene and is reportedly cooperating with police.
Officials did not immediately release the pedestrian's identity and it's currently unknown what led up to the crash.
