PHOENIX - Phoenix police arrested a man Thursday night who was found passed out behind the wheel of his car with two children inside.

According to police, Scott Marley admitted to injecting half a gram of heroin around 6 p.m., just an hour before police arrived on scene.

Officers say Marley drove to a Circle K on North 35th Avenue with a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old child in his vehicle.

When police arrived at the gas station, the officers performed field sobriety tests. Marley failed the walk and turn test, as well as the modified Rhomberg, according to police.

Officers say he was also very lethargic, was unable to balance, and had slurred speech, pinpoint pupils and bloodshot eyes.

Initially, he told officers he had used heroin Thursday morning, but later admitted to injecting that evening, police said.

Police arrested Marley on charges of an aggravated DUI.
