Husband of murder victim says wife killed by woman she was counseling

The suspect was located and arrested in Tucson.

PHOENIX - A 54-year-old woman was arrested in Tucson in connection to the death a woman in Phoenix Wednesday, Phoenix PD said.

Anna Collum was located and arrested for the murder and is currently in Pima County Jail, set to be transferred back to Phoenix.

Priscilla LeFevre, 67, was found dead in her apartment 28425 North Black Canyon Highway Wednesday afternoon, by her husband, Jerry LeFevre.

Jerry tells 12 News Priscilla had been counseling Collum for a while and was helping her, just as she had helped countless others before her.

"Obviously, this lady had come over, Priscilla knew her, opened the door, let her in... she was probably going to sit on the couch so she could go and talk to the lady, and she got just turned halfway to the couch  and the lady opened fire, I guess," said LeFevre.

Priscilla devoted her entire life to ministering to others.

"There's so many lives she impacted. I just keep getting emails, and texts, 'She was just a joy,' We loved her,' and 'She really spoke to us,' now she's gone," said LeFevre.

She went to Uganda on as a missionary in the early 2000's and was so touched by the country and its people, she started a non-profit called Light the Globe.

Through it, she built several churches and a school in the African nation and was thinking of expanding to other countries, until her life was tragically cut short.

"There's no rhyme or reason to it. It's a sudden thing, such a terrible thing, and I'm trying to see some purpose to it because her life was all about ministering to people," said LeFevre.

Her family has created a Gofundme to help with funeral expenses
