PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for a suspect after they say a teen was shot Monday evening.

Officers were called to the area of McDowell Road and N 43rd Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Monday for reports of a shooting, Phoenix police said.
When they arrived officers found a teen boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers have closed the area around the shooting while they search for the suspect.
