PHOENIX - Police said 19-year-old Maleqe Thompson shot a 40-year-old woman he was romantically involved with last week.
The shooting happened Thursday, Aug. 18, at an apartment on Cave Creek Road near Peoria Avenue.

Police said this remains an aggravated assault investigation.
The victim is still in the hospital. Police said she is in extremely critical condition.
