PEORIA, Ariz. — A small plane crashed into an unoccupied trailer at Pleasant Valley Airport in Peoria Tuesday afternoon.

Two people were on board and neither were injured, officials with the Peoria Police Department said.

The single-engine Nanchang CJ-6A overshot the runway while landing, National Transportation Safety Board officials said. The preliminary investigation suggests the pilot may have tried to land at the airport, which is permanently closed, due to possible engine issues.

The plane's nosegear collapsed on landing. No one was in the trailer.

The plane is being taken to an offsite location for the continued investigation. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.
