PHX Sky Train to be closed part of Jan. 3 and 4

The shutdown is because of a system upgrade and testing. Travelers will have access to an airport shuttle, which will arrive every 20 minutes on average.

PHOENIX — The PHX Sky Train at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will be closed from Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. to Jan. 4 at 6 a.m. for system upgrades and testing.

The PHX Sky Train allows people parked in various parking garages at the airport as well as those taking public transportation to the airport access the terminals. While the system upgrades and testing occurs, an airport shuttle will be in operation, arriving every 20 minutes on average. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead, as the shuttle schedule is different than the typical Sky Train schedule.
