PHOENIX (AP) - A 19-year-old Phoenix woman has been accused of manslaughter and marijuana possession after allegedly driving impaired and fatally striking a bicyclist.
Phoenix police say Annaleah Dominguez was driving in the wrong direction up South Mountain to avoid another bicyclist in front of her Sunday morning when she struck 36-year-old Robert Dollar.
They say Dollar was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Dominguez admitted to officers of recently drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.
According to court records, police say Dominguez showed signs of impairment and was booked into jail.
She didn't have a lawyer at her initial court appearance Monday, where her bond was set at $2,500.
Dominguez faces a Nov. 8 preliminary hearing in her case.
