'Born this way': Phoenix Pride kicks off in the Valley

The annual festival will be held in downtown Phoenix at Steele Indian School Park. Here's everything you need to know.

PHOENIX — Back again for its 43rd year, Phoenix PRIDE is almost here.

Phoenix Pride was founded in 1981 and was established primarily for charitable, educational and social purposes, according to the website. Phoenix Pride includes producing two of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural celebrations in Arizona with a mission to unite, educate and engage people to support and empower the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

"Phoenix Pride is dedicated to the continuous development of programs and building community partnerships to benefit the Arizona LGBTQ+ community, along with its community of Allies," the website states.

In 2023, thousands of people participated in the Phoenix Pride Parade, and many more took to the street to watch, dressing up and waving flags, fans and balloons.

With less than a month until the fun, here's everything you need to know before you go to Phoenix Pride.
