The officer appears to have sustained minor injuries.

PHOENIX — A Phoenix police officer was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after their unmarked police car was involved in a traffic collision.

The police department said at about 3:40 p.m., the on-duty officer was making a left turn near 27th and Glenrosa avenues when they were hit by another car. The involved officer appears to have sustained minor injuries.

The Phoenix Fire Department said the individual taken to the hospital was in stable condition.
