PHOENIX - Phoenix police have identified Brandon Southerland, 37, as the suspect arrested in connection to a double homicide Saturday.
Police responded to a mobile home near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road around 4 p.m. Saturday.
Officers found the suspect, later identified as Southerland, at the scene.
He was detained when officers found an unresponsive man and woman inside the house, both with severe cuts.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Southerland was transported to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue and later booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of first degree murder.
