Phoenix man arrested in 'Goldeneye Bandit' case

Initially, the FBI linked just two robberies to the bandit, but further digging led investigators to believe he carried out two more robberies throughout the summer, all in Phoenix.

PHOENIX - The FBI announced Wednesday that it had arrested a man believed to be the "Goldeneye Bandit," a suspect in four Phoenix bank robberies earlier this year.

Scott Anthony Martinez, 47, was arrested Dec. 12 by the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.

Initially, the FBI linked just two robberies to the bandit, but further digging led investigators to believe he carried out two more robberies throughout the summer, all in Phoenix.

The robber used a demand note to get money from bankers, placing the money in a bag in each instance.
