PHOENIX - Mega 104.3's Super Snake hasn't just interviewed Prince, he partied with him at his house during the Grammys and drove him to the club in Phoenix.
"He's great. Funny, a sly devil," he said. "You can see his character and that's like, 'Yo, that's Prince.'"
In the '90s, Snake drove him to Club 411. He argued with the icon about Prince's choice to change his music from the classics.
"At the time, it was two passionate people going at it with music," Snake said. "Looking back now, it's a surreal moment. It was like me talking to a friend not realizing it's Prince."
Snake wanted the music legend that people love. The radio personality also introduced Prince at American West Arena.
"He was in the veins of James Brown," he said. "The spinning, turns and sex appeal."
For 15 years, Super Snake followed Prince's career. Still shocked, he said the news of Prince's death is still surreal.
"Meeting him was one of the highlights of my career," he said. "You don't realize it at the time, but now you sit back and think, 'I did introduce Prince.'"
