PHOENIX — A person is dead and two others are injured after a crash involving a city bus in Phoenix, fire officials said.
According to authorities, officers were called to the scene near 79th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 5 a.m.
Once on the scene, crews found a man with injuries but he was later pronounced dead at the scene. Phoenix fire said two other adults involved in the crash required extrication and were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses said a man was struck by the bus while in the area.
The identities of the victims were not released. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
Phoenix police will be handling the investigation moving forward.
