PEORIA, Ariz. — Bradley Klose, a 16-year-old from Peoria who disappeared after leaving work one day, has been found dead, city police announced Thursday.
"This is obviously not the outcome that everyone was hoping for, and we would like to extend our condolences to Bradley’s family who has since been notified of his passing. We would also like to thank the community for their concern and assistance," Peoria police wrote in a statement.
Klose disappeared shortly after 4 p.m. on April 8 after leaving his workplace near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road. Klose was considered an endangered youth and did not have a cell phone on his person when he went missing.
On Sept. 9, the Phoenix Police Department notified Peoria police of a death investigation near 67th Avenue and Pyramid Peak Parkway. Authorities confirmed that the person who had been found dead was Klose.
Peoria police stepped in to handle the investigation and said that so far there does not appear to be any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. They are not seeking a suspect.
Police released the following statement from Klose's family:
"This is a heartbreaking end to the search for Bradley. Our family is in mourning and kindly asks for privacy as we work through this difficult time. Though this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we praise God for answering prayers and shining a light on Bradley. We would like to thank all of our friends, neighbors, the community and the Peoria Police Department for not giving up on the search."
