GLENDALE, Ariz. — Thousands of people are expected to attend a rally for former President Donald Trump at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale Friday, according to police.
Crowds of people began lining up outside the arena hours before Trump's planned speaking time of 4 p.m.
12News' Troy Hayden witnessed at least one person being treated for a medical emergency at the arena around 11:30 a.m.
Multiple people were treated and transported for various reasons, according to the Glendale Fire Department.
Temperatures in the Valley were expected to reach 108 degrees Friday.
At a Trump rally held in Phoenix in June, 11 people were treated for heat exhaustion while waiting to enter the event.
Friday's rally in Glendale comes following a trip to the border by Trump and an endorsement from Robert Kennedy Jr. after Kennedy withdrew from the presidential race in battleground states.
