Pedestrian crash in Tempe leaves 14-year-old boy seriously injured

Police said the vehicle's driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police.

TEMPE, Ariz. — A Valley teen is in the hospital Tuesday morning after a pedestrian crash in Tempe.

According to Tempe police, officers responded to the scene near Baseline and Kyrene roads for reports of a pedestrian crash. The pedestrian involved in the crash was identified as a 14-year-old boy.

Authorities said he was transported with serious injuries. Police also said the driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene and cooperated with the police.

The area will have restricted traffic due to street closures. The identity and condition of the teen were not immediately released.
