'Panic, sheer panic': Scottsdale woman catches peeping Tom on security camera

A man has been stalking a woman's Scottsdale home for months and she finally captured it on video.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The hunt is on for a peeping Tom caught on camera in Scottsdale. A woman has noticed him lurking outside her home on several occasions and she finally got video of him Wednesday night.

"I was home taking a bath about 8:30 p.m. and my phone alerted me that there was a motion at the front of my house," said Chanel.

Chanel looked out the window to find the same man she's seen spying on her since back in September. He was touching himself right at her front window.

"Panic, sheer panic," she said. "Just that realization that someone is there to cause you harm or get into your house."

After Chanel's first encounter with the creep, she installed security cameras. He's been back at least twice. Chanel has called Scottsdale police after every sighting.

"I can't open my windows at night because I don't want my shutters open. I feel like someone's watching me," she said.

Police say with creeps like this, the more they avoid getting caught, the more likely things will get worse.

"I think he can absolutely come back and I think it's very possible that he will take things and escalate things to another level," said Chanel.

Scottsdale police did forensic testing at Chanel's house Wednesday night and are closely examining the surveillance video.

Chanel posted about the man on Facebook and has received thousands of responses. Some have offered to stay the night at her house. Others have offered to lend Chanel their bear traps or guns.
