Stephen Gore, the owner of a Phoenix body-donation facility which the FBI raided last year, pleaded guilty to illegally conducting an enterprise, a felony, according to the Arizona Attorney General's Office.
The Biological Resource Center of Arizona was raided by the FBI in January, 2014. Investigators say bodies donated to center were supposed to go toward scientific research, but may not have been used that way.
According the AG, the center provided tissue to vendors that was contaminated or not authorized for the vendor by the donor's wishes.
Gore pleaded guilty in Superior Court at about 9:30 a.m. as part of a plea deal .
