PHOENIX – A crash involving a wrong-way driver closed Loop 101 northbound at Guadalupe Road Friday morning.
According to DPS, two cars collided head-on. Three other vehicles were involved in a second collision. One of the cars in the secondary collision rolled.
DPS said the two 26-year-old drivers in the initial crash suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. The other drivers involved had minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of Loop 101 at Guadalupe Road were closed through much of the morning commute. The lanes reopened just before 9 a.m.
DPS said it believes the wrong-way driver may have been impaired.
