Navajo Code Talkers documentary world premiere to be held at Heard Museum

The Heard Museum in Phoenix will have events all day as part of their Veterans Day tribute on Monday, Nov. 6.  

PHOENIX - Navajo Code Talkers and their families will be guests of honor at a Veterans Day event at the Heard Museum Monday.

The Heard Museum in Phoenix will have events all day as part of their Veterans Day tribute on Monday, Nov. 6.

All veterans get free admission to the Heard Museum from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. Veterans can bring one guest who will also receive free admission.

From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Heard Museum will host the world premiere of "Navajo Code Talkers: A Journey of Remembrance", a documentary by George Colburn. The documentary follows Code Talkers returning to Pacific battlefields of World War II decades later.

Navajo Code Talkers served as Marines in World War II, using their native language to communicate in the Pacific Theater.

The Heard Museum's event will also feature a tribute to female veterans and a free dinner reception honoring veterans. Learn more and RSVP for the dinner here.
