MESA, Ariz. — The Mesa Fire and Medical Department has a new fire truck and they are looking to the public to help give it a name.
The truck to be named is a mini fire truck and the newest edition to the fire department's fleet of vehicles.
The winner of the contest will get to ride in the truck during the 2024 MLK parade on Jan. 16.
The new truck is part of the fire department's celebration of its 125 anniversary. It was presented to Fire Chief Mary Cameli earlier this year.
The contest is open to all Mesa residents and there is one entry per person.
Entries can be submitted online or you can pick up a paper submission at a Mesa Public Library location. Emailed submissions will not be accepted.
Submissions need to be in by Nov. 30. You can click here for more information.
